Longfellow/Seward Healthy Seniors is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, community based organization serving older adults (seniors/elders) in the Longfellow, Seward, Cooper, Howe and Hiawatha neighborhoods of south Minneapolis. We also provide limited outreach in Cedar-Riverside and Ventura Village neighborhoods, specifically at the American Indian Center, Brian Coyle Community Center, and the Korean Service Center. Our mission is to enable community seniors to live healthy, independent and socially connected lives. We’ve been providing services to seniors since 1994. We serve about 600 seniors annually.
We’re a member program of the Living at Home Network, which is a coalition of Living at Home/Block Nurse Programs throughout Minnesota that helps seniors live independently. Financial support for our program comes from public and private grants, foundations, donations, fundraising events and bequests. Donations and bequests are tax deductible. |
